Premier League TOTS Prediction
Why will be these players in the Premier League TOTS?
Arguably the best goalkeeper in the world, no Team of the Season would be complete without him. With 10 clean sheets to his name, he has been crucial to Liverpool’s record setting campaign this season.
There’s really no contest about who the best left-back in the land is, and Andy Robertson has shown himself to be a class above anyone else. He’s not only solid at the back, but has 7 assists- good enough for 4th in the Premier League.
Van Dijk is more than just a center-back for Liverpool as he’s completed more passes than anyone else in the Premier League. He’s the Reds’ rock at the back, and is the easiest choice for the Premier League TOTS Prediction.
Since moving to Manchester for 80 million Maguire has been well worth the money (if that’s possible), and has even managed a goal for the Red Devils. A spot in the Team of the Season is well deserved.
The Steph Curry of the right-back position, Alexander-Arnold has redefined what a fullback should do in the modern day game. Twelve assists, second in the league, as a right-back is simply unbelievable.
His rebirth under Jurgen Klopp has been incredible, and the Liverpool skipper has provided the team with something far more important than any number of goals or assists: heart. Well deserved place in the Premier League TOTS!
The league’s leader in assists with 17, de Bruyne flashes every time he’s on the pitch. He pulls the strings in Manchester City’s midfield, and when you add on his 8 goals he is surely one of the best players in the world today.
Mo Salah has gotten all the buzz, but Sadio Mane has been even more productive for Liverpool this season. Boasting 14 goals and 7 assists, Mane has been dynamite for the Reds and is an easy in.
Liverpool’s Egyptian king, Salah was good for 16 goals in the season- 3rd most in the Premiership. He has been magical since returning to England, and looks to be a sure inclusion.
The Gabonese international has flown under the radar this season with Liverpool and Manchester City getting all the press, but he has quietly amassed 17 goals- second best in the league.
An argument could be made that he’s the best striker in Premier League history, and he certainly hasn’t disappointed this season. His 16 goals have been key for Manchester City, and a Team of the Season would be well deserved.
His renaissance under Pep Guardiola has been remarkable, and he’s been able to take the next step this season. He doesn’t simply affect games anymore, he can take them over. The polarizing Englishman was good for 11 goals this season, and good enough for a spot in this year’s Team of the Season.
Even while splitting time with Bernardo Silva the Algerian is 3rd in the league with 8 assists, and has been very productive in Pep Guardiola’s system. Surely another Team of the Season is on the cards for the Manchester City man.
Though his season unfortunately ended early due to an ACL injury, the Portuguese right back was fantastic in his inaugural season for the Foxes. He’s been phenomenal going both forward and back, and surely deserves an inclusion.
Leicester’s fantastic number 9 has continued to amaze, and this season was no different. The Englishman leads the league with 19 goals, and has been a large part of why the Foxes are 3rd in the Premier League table.
Since moving to Leicester from Norwich City Maddison has been superb with 6 goals, 3 assists and the 3rd most key passes played. His set piece talent is virtually unparalleled, and he can light up a game any time he touches the ball.
The Newcastle United goaltender has quietly racked up 9 clean sheets, and has had a tremendous season for the Magies. A spot in the Premier League TOTS would be well deserved.
No player has seen a more meteoric rise than the burly winger for Wolves that can do it all, and no Team of the Season would be complete without him. The Spaniard has had an excellent campaign, highlighted by Wolves’ brilliant 3-2 comeback against Manchester City.
The Spanish center-back has been Chelsea’s most consistent player, and even if he isn’t the flashiest name in this list he’s still been key for the Blues in their pursuit of Champions League football!
His 13 goals have been key for Nuno Espirito Santos’ Wolves, and Jimenez has been a big reason for the Wolves being 6th in the table. The Mexican number 9 will be instrumental if the Wolves are to make a top 4 push.
The Croatian international has been quietly brilliant in the middle of Chelsea’s midfield, and is in the running for their player of the season. He’s had an excellent second season under Frank Lampard, and could be set for a Team of the Season, if not a Team of the Season Most Consistent.
The Aston Villa skipper has been sensational this season, and has racked up 7 goals and 6 assists for the claret and blue. He’s been rated as one of the best players in the league by WhoSports, and a big reason why Aston Villa still has a chance at avoiding relegation.
Leicester City’s replacement for Harry Maguire has massively overachieved since arriving from SC Freiburg for a deal worth up to 19 million, and the 23 year old leads Leicester City in both blocks and aerial battles won.
